Saxon Blue is a Discovery 55 built near Southampton. She is a semi-custom build with many adaptations made to make our trip to the frozen north more comfortable and safer. The build was started in January 2009 and she was launched in October. Initial commissioning took until early November. Preparations for our voyage started then and continued up until our departure on 1st May 2010. We intend to sail to Scotland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Arctic Canada and the USA where Saxon Blue will be on show at the Annapolis Boat Show. After that, we are going South along the coast of the USA and into the Carribean.
